Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that according to the existing policy, the wife of the MPs will be given the licenses of firearms subject to certain conditions. They also get the license.

In reply to a written question of Awami League's Rahim Ullah in the Question Hour on Thursday afternoon, he said this.

The Home Minister said, according to the policy of Firearms-20136, every citizen of the 30-70-year-old physically and mentally competent country is granted firearms license.

Responding to another written question of Hajera Khatun, MP of the reserved constituency of police, compared to the population of the country, the police manpower is not enough in the proportion of population. To ensure the safety of the people and to modernize the police force, 33 thousand 102 posts of different posts in the previous tenure of the present government and 45,434 new posts have been created as part of the formation of 50 thousand posts approved by the Prime Minister for the current tenure.

He said the proportion of police and population has been gradually decreasing. In future, the increase in police manpower will be considered for further reduction in the ratio.
