The Bureau of Investigation of the Police has been tasked to investigate the sensational four-woman rape case in Chittagong -PBI

PBI Chittagong Metropolitan Police Additional Superintendent of Police Moin Uddin told bdnews24.com, "We have taken the responsibility of the case from the police station."

The changes came under the charge of investigating the allegation that the Karnaphuli Police Station lingered on taking the case after complaining about the arrest of the accused.

Nagar Police Deputy Commissioner (Port) Harun Ur Rashid Hazari accepted the confessional statement that the police had a "partial failure" in the delay in taking the case.

During the robbery at a house in Barrutan union of Karnaphuli upazila on the last night of December 12, rape of the wife of one of his brothers and one sister was reported.

The women raped women filed a case the next day after the incident.

Later, five days after the intervention of State Minister of Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury took the case. Three people were arrested as suspects.

On December 22, a local organization named "Women Development Forum" organized a human chain to demand the withdrawal of the case and delaying the arrest of the OC OC Syedul Mostafa.

The organization's allegation, after several Talwasana, police arrested some of the cases, but remanded them to 'unnecessary time' without interrogation.

Demand for arrest of all the rapists is also on December 27, the Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Office and the next day to sow the Karnaphuli Police Station.
