Turkey claims to kill 260 Kurdish, IS militants

Turkey claims to kill 260 Kurdish, IS militants

Turkey has demanded at least 260 Kurdish fighters and Islamic State (IS) militants to kill four-day operations in the Afrani region of Syria's north-western Kurdish province.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Turkish army has demanded that the Reuters news agency Reuters reported.

Turkey's army, which started the 'Operation Olive Branch' in Afrani, near the southern wings of Kurdish WiPG guerrillas and alleged 'IS militants', triggered a new war zone in Syria which was plagued by multi-dimensional conflicts.

Observers say that even though speaking IS, the main target of Ankara's campaign was by Kurdish WaipG Guerrillai.

Erdewan government believes that Kurds are the main competitor in increasing internal and regional influence. Turkey's Kurds are getting assistance from Afrin's WiPG guerrillas, accusing Syrian President Ankara of running the operation. Observers also believe that their tension may be accompanied by Washington.

From the time of the anti-IS fight, the United States has been supporting African Kurdish Kurdish YPG guerrillas.

US President Donald Trump can talk to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on phone on Wednesday with a Turkish military operation in Afrin, a senior US official said. Ankara is giving a 'signal of contradiction' through this campaign, he said.

"We will call for the reduction of their access as much as possible," said the US official unwilling to release the name.
French President Emanuel Macroon also expressed concern over Turkey's operations. In response, Erdovan said his army took all possible measures to avoid civil loss.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken to the Turkish president on the phone. He also urged Erdoan to respect the sovereignty of the Syrian and territorial integrity.

For the past several years, US and Russian troops have been deployed in Syria, one of the key areas of anti-IS fighting.

Turkish Foreign Ministry said they are interested in fighting conflict with the US, Russia and Syrian forces during the campaign, but they are ready to take all kinds of steps for the sake of their safety. Along with the 'elimination of the terrorists', the country's foreign minister Mervul Kawsoglou indicated that Ankara is working to send back 35 lakh people who fled to Turkey during the Syrian civil war.

He also demanded that the United States stop the support of the Waipi guerrillas, which is also Ankara's claim.

"The future relationship between our two countries depends on the next step in the US," said Mewalat.

Turkey's army of NATO's second largest armies is carrying out extensive destruction in Kurdish areas through air strikes and artillery. At the same time their troops and allied Syrian rebels are trying to enter Afrin from north, east and west.

Reuters reports that Turkish forces did not go much further in the four days of the operation using maximum power. Many Turkish soldiers and their supporters of Syrian rebels have lost their lives in attacks against the Kurds.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based observer organization, said that at least 23 civilians were killed in Turkish air strikes and bullets, fleeing thousands of people.

According to a local source, the UN report said only about five thousand people fled from Afrin on Monday. The World Organization has said it is ready to provide immediate assistance to 50,000 residents of the war-torn city.
