Today, the day of Bangabandhu's return home
The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. During the Liberation War, during the long ten months of Pakistan's confinement, on this day of 1972, the dreamer of freedom kept his feet on the independent country of his country. Millions of people on the Racecourse field (now Suhrawardy Udyan) in Dhaka enjoyed the celebration of the beloved leader. On March 25, 1971, the Pakistani army invaded the country by killing the freedom movement of the Bangalee nation. In the name of 'Operation Searchlight' that night, they carried out a brutal assault on innocent unarmed Bengalis. The Pakistani invaders arrested Bangabandhu from the residence of Dhanmondi 32 number residence.
After the arrest, he was asked to withdraw from the demand for independence. Otherwise, it is threatened to be killed. But without the independence, he made clear that he would not accept anything. After the arrest, the Pakistani army sent Bangabandhu to West Pakistan prison. During the war of liberation, Bangabandhu's trial began in the solitary and dark prison of Pakistan. The tomb was lame beside the cell which was kept in the prison cell of Bangabandhu. But under the pressure of strong public opinion to stop the liberation and liberation of Bangabandhu, the Pakistani government retreated. In the long nine months of bloody liberation war, Bangladesh achieved victory on December 16, 1971, in exchange of 3 million martyrs, many sacrifices and blood. Under the UN and international pressure, the Government of Pakistan was forced to release Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the beloved leader of the newly independent Bangladesh.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was released from prison in Pakistan, on 10th January, from London and Delhi, on his special airplane, a special aircraft has landed on Bangladesh soil. During this time, the dear government, Awami League leaders, freedom fighters, and millions of people took the flowers in the blossom at the airport. Bangabandhu became enchanted by the genuine love and respect of the people in his beloved motherland. He himself described his return to this country as a 'journey from darkness to light'.
On the occasion of the day, Awami League programs are being organized- Party leaders and national flag hoisting in the party's central office, Bangabandhu Bhaban and all over the country at 6:30 am, placing flowers on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 7am and discussion at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center at 3pm. The Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will preside over this. In a statement, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Welfare Minister Obaidul Quader has urged all associate and brother-in-law organizations including all the leaders and activists of the party to properly observe all programs including the discussion on the occasion of the returning ceremony of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
