Should not talk about national elections now: Ershad
The party's chairman, HM Ershad, said that the Jatiya Party claimed to have become a factor in the next national elections but it is not possible to predict the election. He said this while talking to journalists at Radisson Blu in Chittagong city on Wednesday afternoon.
Responding to a question of journalists about the upcoming national elections, Ershad said that the national elections should not be talked about now. He also said that because Awami League is a stronger party than us. We are organized. We have 300 candidates. But we are not sure how many candidates can win.
The chairman of Japan said, 'Our workers have been encouraged. I think we would do well if we have a clean and neutral election.
When asked about the recent statement of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir about the alliance with the Jatiya Party, Ershad said, "I have no idea what Fakhrul Islam said. But we have made preparations for the elections alone.
Regarding the speech of Mirza Fakhrul, he said that the Jatiya Party has become a factor in the elections. So everyone wants us. But where we go, how will we choose to drop it on us? Our staff, over the leaders. We will decide how to choose.
In addition to this, the former president said there is displeasure in the country's youth, because young people have no employment. There is no investment. So youths are going astray. Many people are becoming mad. This is not pleasant for us. Embarrassing for the nation. The government needs to come up with foreign investment, build industrial factories. If the educated youth can not create employment, the turmoil that has created in the society will increase further.
