Rohingyas need more help: World Bank

The World Bank said that Bangladesh is in crisis with Rohingya refugees fleeing to Bangladesh in the face of genocide and torture, they need more help to return to normal life. According to the World Bank's South Asia Regional Vice President Annette Dixon, the donor organization will help more if the government wants it.

A World Bank press release on Saturday said the World Bank's South Asia Regional Vice President Annette Dixon praised the government and people for sheltering a large number of Rohingya refugees fleeing Myanmar after fleeing Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar. He said the World Bank is ready to work with Bangladesh government with the help of Rohingya refugees and Rohingya refugees who are taking shelter in Cox's Bazar.

The army has launched an operation against Rohingya since August 25 after the armed group attacked the security forces in Myanmar's Rakhine state. They started fleeing after rape, torture and houses after rape and fled to Bangladesh.

In the last few months, more than one million Rohingyas have taken refuge in Bangladesh. Bangladesh-Myanmar has recently signed a deal to return to their home country. Starting from January 23 this reinforcement will start. Initially one and a half thousand Rohingyas are going to return every week. Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque said the number of Rohingyas going back after two months will increase. In the next two years, the agreement has been signed to end the process of returning Rohingya from Bangladesh.

World Bank official Dixon said many of the infiltrators 'Rohingya' As far as the eyes of Cox's Bazar area are visible, only the plastic sheets and the small bamboos made of the line after line are visible. It has created a lot of pressure on infrastructure and water resources and environment. As a result, Bangladesh has to face difficult challenges like many diseases and natural disasters.

The press release said that Dixon visited Rohingya camps and at the time Rohingya talked to refugees and local people. He visited the area's registration centers, health and food distribution centers, child centers and women-friendly places. These arrangements will help solve the problem of Rohingyas, but need more help to restart normal life.

Dixon said, the government and people of Bangladesh have shown great benevolence for these helpless Rohingya. In addition to the crisis, with the government, the local and international aid organizations and development partners have extended their support. With their help, thousands of Rohingyas have saved lives. However, Rohingyas need more help. We can collect more help for local people and Rohingyas if the government requests help. In this, all of the local people and Rohingya refugees will get the benefit of this.

Dixon is meeting with the representatives of local government officials and representatives from different Bangladeshi and international relief organizations working with the help of Rohingya people in Cox's Bazar.
