Mazhar's wife wants to seek re-examination in the case of abduction
Farhad Mazhar has been asked to revoke the final report of the police in the case of abduction and his wife Farida Akhter has filed a petition.
The petition submitted to Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah on Monday sought re-examination of the case.
Farida Akhter's lawyer Syed Zainul Abedin Mejbah told bdnews24.com that the court ordered the submission of the case filed in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on March 22 in the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court.
On July 3, the news of Farhad Mazhar disappeared from the Shyamoli residence of the capital. On the same day, Farida Akhtar filed a general diary for her husband's abduction, which was later registered as a case.

Detective Branch inspector Mahbubul Haq, the investigation officer of the case, submitted a final report to the court on November 14 last year, the allegation of abduction was 'false'.

Meanwhile, the police filed another case against the poet-columnist Farhad Mazhar and his wife Farida Akhter after accusing them of filing false information.
The summons have already been issued in order to present them to the court of Dhaka on 30 January.
Zainul Abedin Mejbah says that due to their revision petition, there will be no more effect of the same.
Law enforcement officials said since the very first day, they did not get any evidence of abduction. It is believed that Farhad Mazhar himself had done 'drama' for kidnapping.
However, Farhad said about the abduction of the statement given in the Mazhar court. He claimed that he was kidnapped and taken to Khulna. The abductors claimed ransom from him.
After the investigation started, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detected Police on July 10 in the Dhaka court to present a woman named Varna Rani. He claimed that he was a 'disciple' of Farhad Mazhar.
There he said that on that day, Farhad Majha had left to raise money for him and sent 15 thousand rupees.
After supplying journalists to Farhad Mazhar, a mobile banking agent shop in Khulna, and a video of his lonely walk around the area, the police provided the journalists.
Later, on November 14, the court sent a final report to the court and asked for permission to file a false case against the Mazhar couple on charges of filing false cases.
On December 28, after the court permission, the DB Inspector Mahbubul Islam sent the prosecution case to the false information in the non-GR branch of the court.
After taking permission from the police case, Farhad Majha held a press conference and said that it was intended to 'disappear'. After that, the law enforced army rescue him, but later pressured him from confession.
