30 years in one and a half years of the lock!
In the one and a half year, 30 cinema halls are going on in the international film festival in Dhaka, where over 60 countries have been screened for over two decades. But when the festival is going on, at the same time, the filmmakers of Bangladesh again complained that the unwillingness of the audience towards the country's made-up movie has worried their business of extreme existence.
They say that in 2016, there were 62 films released in Bangladesh, but the audience could drag only a handful of counts.
The Bangladesh Film Exhibition Committee said that due to lack of spectators, more than 30 films of the last one-and-a-half year were closed in the country due to continued losses.
Iftekharuddin Nowshad, the owner of half-year-old Madhumita Singhal, says to the BBC, "As the subsidy is going to run, he is skeptical about how long he can be sustained in the future."
'In the forty years, I did not clean it. What we're doing in the last ten years. Now the movies that are now not suitable for display. Last year only three pictures were traded. We will not be able to achieve just three successive commercial successes in 52 weeks. '
"The vacancy of artists who have died or who have retired have not been fulfilled ... we are now stuck in the ICU."
He said that people of the film industry of Dhaka should now accept that they are not able to give business photos.
'We want Indian pictures to leave now. This was seen some days ago that the lack of rice was seen. It is imported from abroad only when there is a shortage. Likewise, we also want to bring at least 20/25 photographs a year to the government. '
He said if the pictures are released together with India then the images will be business and the halls will live. Otherwise, they have to worry about breaking the hall. If we break into a super market then we can get more money.
He said that they have not been able to pay salaries to officials of the hall for the last six months. He said the situation outside Dhaka is worse.
While the information of the producer association, in Bangladesh, 62 films were released in 2017. Yet the owners' statements in the halls are so frustrating. But why are these movies not interested in seeing the audience?
In this context, there is a lot of issues related to the creation of the film's weakness, the diversity of the story, the quality of the hall and the environment.
Some viewers believe that some changes have started to change. Some of the films that came out on the go are Manpura, Ananya Nama, Dhaka Attack, Bhuban Majhi and some of the number of cinematic films in hand.
Sohanur Rahman Sohan, director and producer of many successful successful cinemas, said, "There is no cinema hall for the movie. And there are no producers to make movies. Because the movie becomes piracy. From these thoughts, those who made films, movies who loved them, moved away from their love for the picture. '
Directors, as a major challenge for the country's cinema, think that the Indian film circulated in the satellite channel. And critics see the lack of quality films and the lack of mentality to watch the movie while in the present context.
Film critic Professor Zakir Hussain Raju said, "There is a lot of lack of it to create world-class movies on the other hand, on the other hand there are many avenues of watching movies. Satellite channels in the satellite only, on the village side and in the neighborhood of Dhaka, many are watching movies on mobile.
He said many new producers are coming, but many of them are frustrated after one or two films, making attention to the creation of the ad, because it is profitable.
Presently the use of tech technology in the film is increasing, the size of the budget is increasing. But still there are many middle-class viewers who are moving forward in the image of the eighties or nineties. And this generation of visitors came to the courtyard of this kind of film festival, thirsting to see their quality movie. Source: - BBC Bangla
